A link blocking Safari and forcing a reboot iPhone circulates online – ZDNet France

This is obviously a “farce” circulating between Safari users on iOS but also on Mac OS X. As reported by the Guardian of Internet users per message send a link to the site crashsafari.com .

The site name is unequivocal and actually causes a browser malfunction Apple once the open Web page. In the page code, a series of characters more and more difficult to load in the browser.

The result: memory consumption by Safari increases to cause the application crash. Only solution for Safari on iPhone and iPad users: restart the terminal. It then returns to normal operation.

The Guardian states that viewing the site also generates inconveniences in Chrome, but lesser magnitudes however. Under Chrome on Android, the device heats and reacts painfully. Google’s browser is closed allows remedied.

Safari and Chrome on Mac and PC are not immune. According to our colleagues, the problem will fluctuate with the available computing power of the device. So bad joke apparently because Internet amuse themselves by sending trap binding.

And to complicate dodges by more experienced users who would be reluctant to visit a site whose name leaves little room for doubt, some had the idea to go through changing the URL services – such as many in use on Twitter

On the social network. precisely as a user pointed out yesterday that January 25 had already been shortened URL clicked over 100,000 times.
