How to install Windows 10 on Mobile smartphone
The availability of Windows 10 to Windows Mobile Phone users began this March 17th. The information was confirmed by Microsoft. The actual availability of the update will nevertheless depend operators and device models. Microsoft has released a precise procedure to install the OS:
1- Install the app Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor. it aims to verify whether the smartphone is eligible for the update, and if the configuration is ready (ample storage space, no risk of conflict with the installed software, the latest evolution of Windows Phone 8.1 deployed …). Microsoft released the list of top eligible devices: Lumia 1520, 930, 640, 640XL, 730, 735, 830, 532, 535, 540, 635 1GB, 636 1GB, 638 1GB, 430, 435, BLU Win HD w510u, BLU Win HD LTE x150q and CJD Madosma Q501.
2 Load 100% smartphone or connect it to a power outlet.
3- Connect the smartphone to a quality WiFi network.
4 Perform the update. To perform the update, go to the smartphone’s settings menu, then Update.
What are what’s new in Windows 10 Mobile?
Windows Mobile 10 is the successor to Windows Phone 8.1. Like its predecessor, it is free. The OS is advertised as compatible with all Lumias optimized for Windows Phone 8. Designed for smartphones and PHABLET (more generally for terminals 8 inches and less), Windows Mobile 10 offers a fairly close look of its predecessor, with a Home screen following the same logic. An interface that brings up the applications in tiles that can be traced alerts (new messages, new news in the case of an app release …).
1 Windows 10 Mobile embeds new applications Free Office (generation Office 2016) optimized for touch, with not only the ability to view but also to read the documents.

5- The Cortana personal voice assistant can sync also between smartphone and desktop. It will be possible to ask for from a smartphone to perform a task that will be performed, as on a desktop (adding an address in the agenda for example). Via Cortana, Windows Mobile 10 will also receive computer notifications of missed calls on smartphone. Conversely, the voice assistant will be able, in the same way, sent from the smartphone written SMS on the desktop.
6- browser Edge Microsoft is proposed mobile version optimized for smartphones.
Windows 7 Mobile will host 10 universal apps (Universal Apps) that can also run on Windows 10 desktop and tablet versions.
8- Windows Mobile 10 introduced new Skype apps (covering instant messaging, phone calls and video). Skype is also integrated in the messaging application alongside the text.
9 Windows application stores are unified within a single Windows Store (smartphone and desktop) welcoming the Universal apps.
10 – A functional device evolution over water , on the model of the Windows as a Service Windows 10 desktop, is introduced. With a view to transparency, Microsoft plans to increment on one page all changes within each update.
11 – support for ARM 32-bit processor architectures … and x86. While Windows Phone is limited to support ARM processors, Windows 10 Mobile is Microsoft’s first mobile OS to be optimized, too, for x86. An opening that should allow manufacturers to develop Windows Mobile boarding Atom X3 Intel smartphones (for limited time to support 3G, it should be available in version of LTE this year).

in parallel with the launch of Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft is working on a home SIM. It should be available shortly. A Windows 10 application has already appeared on the app store publisher to manage it. It should allow to connect 4G (LTE) offering the possibility to use different carrier networks. With the aim of offering a connection mode larger than Wi-Fi, its use will require the purchase of a service offered on the Windows Store. Centralizing billing, it will avoid having to subscribe to an operator contract.
What are the system requirements between smartphone and PHABLET?
The requirements for install Windows 10 Mobile is the same as for Windows Phone 8. At minimum, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of storage will be needed. The size of the screen? It must be between 3 and 7.99 inches. As for the resolution, its level (minimum of 800×480 pixels) involve a RAM power possibly more important (see correspondence table below). Windows 10 Mobile can be installed on both devices with ARM and Intel architecture.

Microsoft has detailed the minimum hardware that advises to install Windows 10 on Mobile the three major types of terminals targeted by the OS: mid-range smartphones, smartphones high range, and PHABLET (see the publisher’s website). The high-end smartphones require the highest configuration, 2 to 4 GB of RAM for minimum 32 GB storage – against 2 GB for PHABLET and 1GB for basic phones. These high-end smartphones are able to run the Continuum for Phones fashion transforming its PC into a phone.
When Windows 10 Mobile he will be available to my Windows Phone?
Windows 10 mobile will be delivered in two waves: the first is currently underway. It concerns the Lumia 1520, 930, 640, 640XL, 730, 735, 830, 532, 535, 540, 635 1GB, 636 1GB, 638 1GB, 430, 435, BLU Win HD w510u, BLU Win HD LTE x150q and CJD Madosma Q501. The second is to take place later (probably in April or May). It will concern the Lumia 625, 720, 820, 920, 925, 1020 and 1320. But Windows 10 Mobile also comes with third terminal manufacturers. This is the case for Xiaomi which can be installed (beta) on the Mi 4. But also at HP – which announced a convertible smartphone desktop PC and laptop ( Elite x3 ) . For its part, Alcatel has also optimized its Fierce XL for Windows 10 Mobile.
The Lumia brand could disappear in favor of the brand Surface Phone
Four smartphones, the Lumia 950 and 950XL (positioned high end) and the Lumia 550 and 650 (on the average range) are already marketed by Microsoft with Windows 10 Mobile pre-installed (it is a stable version of the OS). They are available on the online store of the American group, and authorized dealers. The Lumia 950XL is the first mainstream smartphone to incorporate a biometric sensor for iris recognition to secure access to the system – via the Windows function Hello and boarding an infrared camera
. Lumia 650 could be the latest smartphone sold by Microsoft under the Lumia brand. The publisher would consider indeed to abandon it in favor of the designation Surface Phone -. The idea is to standardize all brands of mobile products group under the pavilion area
Learning from the semi-failure of Windows Phone
Windows Phone 10 is an important issue for Microsoft. Why ? On the one hand because the Windows Phone terminals struggling to impose, remaining below 3% of market share. Secondly because the declination of Windows 8 for ARM tablet (Windows RT) was a failure. It is now no longer sold by any Microsoft partner or by the publisher himself who announced the discontinuation of the marketing of its own Windows RT devices (Surface RT and Nokia Lumia 2520).
