Orange deploying 4G streaming on the TGV Paris-Lyon – Challenges.fr

Subscribers Orange will now benefit from 4G continuously on the TGV line between Paris and Lyon, with the installation of 200 antennas along the tracks announced Wednesday, February 10 the operator from its national mobile surveillance center in Lyon.

Orange is the first operator to deploy such a network on a TGV line, Lyon-Paris line representing the biggest traffic in France with 40 million passengers per year, according to Nicolas Roy, CTO networks and services Orange France.

Also, Orange announced now that 73 ski resorts in the Alps, Jura, the Vosges and the Pyrenees were covered by 4G this winter against sixty last year, the challenge here is to cope with the seasonal influx of population.
