When leaving the Galaxy S7, the South Korean manufacturer had introduced a new camera for filming at 360 degrees, the Gear 360. Samsung had accompanied his offer with headphones Gear VR offered with its Galaxy S7 or sold at less than 100 euros. It seems that the VR Gear could have a replacement with the release of Galaxy Note 7.
Towards a new version of the Gear VR?
This is the German website “Galxy Club” specializing in products Galaxy, which has found a clue suggesting that a new version of the Gear VR is about to emerge. In fact, by listing the products imported into India, the site of the German community of Galaxy products spotted mention SM-R323. This component is obviously reminiscent of the SM-R322 which is none other than the Gear VR.
SM-R323 so lets evidently thinking that a new version of Gear VR could come out soon, especially to accompany the next marketing the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. the launch of the new PHABLET the Korean manufacturer is indeed scheduled for 2 August.
A Gear VR compatible with other brands
the Galaxy Note 7 will be equipped with the new USB Type-C connector. This new port will make its smartphone incompatible with the current Gear VR. It is therefore quite likely that the Korean manufacturer launches a new Gear VR headset compatible with the new connections of the Galaxy Note 7.
While Google recently launched Daydream, a platform for virtual reality, Samsung might be tempted to make its future Gear VR compatible with all smartphones equipped with a USB Type-C. The Galaxy Note 7 is highly anticipated by fans of Samsung. Many features of the PHABLET have already leaked and alleged photos of the smartphone.
