The Islamic State (EI) group of jihadist extremists, said Tuesday it had beheaded the American journalist James Foley and threatened to kill another in retaliation for American air strikes in Iraq.
In a video broadcast on the internet IE shows a masked man dressed in black who seems to cut the throat of James Foley, who had been kidnapped by armed men in Syria in November 2012.
The White House said that the services of American intelligence were at work to check “as quickly as possible,” the authenticity of this video.
“We have seen a video that purports to show the murder of American citizens by James Foley IA.
