Altice has just made its comeback, and it promises to be lively. At a conference for investors and analysts, the group management of Patrick Drahi rolled out its new strategy a bit more detail, while taking care to leave some gray areas.
The public exchange offer on the shares of SFR Group, revealed this morning only the visible part of Altice ambitions for the coming months. The Dutch company will indeed establish a genuine battle plan aimed at generating synergies on all possible fronts.
Towards the integration of new subsidiaries
The plan ‘Altice does not in fact limited to this operation. In the coming months, the group will integrate up two of its existing subcontractors. Parilis is the first city. This is a “ historical supplier ” of the company in the area of deployment of the update and maintenance of its cable network. The second is none other qu’Intelcia, a specialist in call centers, have 13 sites spread across Cameroon, France and Morocco. Again, this is a historic Altice partner.
The aim of the integration of these two companies is to strengthen the synergies possible with all group operators, including those in the United States. The firm of Patrick Drahi also believes that these additions will improve the quality of service to its 50 million customers. The amount of such future redemptions were not disclosed.
Promis, no side change jobs
At the traditional question-and-answers, leaders of Altice carefully bypassed those relating to remuneration that must pay its subsidiaries for the use of its industrial and commercial methods. At most, we learn that the model is not yet determined precisely and that it will be similar to what is already being seen in other sectors.
About SFR , the issue of employment was also briefly mentioned. Altice says no policy change is expected “ in social relations and human resource management .” The agreement “New Deal” providing up to 5,000 job cuts by 2019 should therefore not be questioned at this time.
Zive used by 0.2% of customers VOD in France
Finally, Altice timidly unveiled two new initiatives. The first soberly called Altice Studios, must give birth to an entity capable of creating new content for the channels of the group but also for its SVOD platform Zive. It must still convince, being used only by 0.2% of video consumers demand, according to a report from the CNC dated June. For reference, Netflix was by 25.8% and by 18.5% Canalplay.
The second Altice Channel Factory, is a little more ambitious. Its objective is to create new channels for ISP house. Few details have yet filtered on these projects, so patience is still required before discovering they can book well, hoping that their implementation will not result, once again, for further tariff increases for subscribers.
