Apple sold a “record” of over 13 million iPhone 6S in a weekend – L’Express

For the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, Apple had been 10 million copies within three days of their arrival in stores. For the debut of the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus, the brand breaks record with more than 13 million phones sold.

“The (first) sales of the iPhone and iPhone 6S 6S Plus were phenomenal, exploding the previous sales record in the first weekend in Apple’s history” rejoices Monday Tim Cook, CEO of the group, said in a statement.

New technology 3D Touch

For him, these are the new features of these models that have attracted consumers. The Apple brand was introduced in early September its new phones more powerful than the previous generation and with new display technologies and image.

The touch screen has been improved to include a system reacts differently depending on the strength of the pressure exerted by the user (“3D Touch”): it allows for example to preview the content an email or a website without having to open them, or direct access to their favorite contacts in email applications.
