iPhone 6s: 25% cheaper to produce than the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus – meltyStyle

The iPhone 6s is a cash machine for Apple. US economic journalists are indeed fun to calculate the price of raw material production of the iPhone 6s, exit this week. And the result is rather surprising (or not): 6s iPhone costs $ 234 (or € 209) raw material to Apple. That is € 26 more than the previous generation, the iPhone 6, probably due to the extra cost 3DTouch technology or the camera. Sold € 819 in its 64 GB version, the iPhone 6s therefore relates € 610 part to Apple. As it flows 200 000 iPhone 6s per hour is nearly 7 billion (!) In the apple pocket that first marketing weekend. Of course, Apple will use much of the money to pay many costs related to the sale and marketing of the iPhone 6s (production, transport, marketing, R & amp; D, taxes, etc.). The iPhone 6s confirms its status as high-end smartphone, although it is not the most expensive to produce.

If the iPhone seems 6s do more high-end phone that the latest Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, which is a success in Korea … is actually not the case. The Korean phone costs actually more expensive than 6s iPhone in terms of raw materials. A Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Over € 260 includes raw materials, nearly 25% more than the iPhone 6s. Surprised by that figure? We too, since Samsung produces the majority of the components of the phone, something that Apple does not control. The difference is also evident in terms of profit, since Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge More costs less than 6s iPhone, and the Korean brand is not done “as” € 539 per phone sold. These figures are interesting and show that the sinews of war in the world of smartphones is in marketing and product, but also in the supply chain. Apple is stronger in this game than Samsung. iPhone 6s vs Samsung Galaxy S6, the duel is just beginning!
