SE790C: the curved display and 21: 9 34-inch by Samsung – Clubic

  Samsung will launch the marketing of a curved PC monitor format. 21: 9 34-inch diagonal, the SE790C

After salon TV, the screen phenomenon curved wins the field of PC monitors. Samsung has indeed follow the lead LG announcing in turn the next marketing a 34-inch screen in 21: 9 format, with a slab curve. Presented in the SE790C reference, it adopts a VA panel (vertical alignment), displays 3440 x 1440 pixels at 60 Hz and would have a 4ms response time. The South Korean finally promises viewing angles of 178 degrees (vertical as horizontal), as well as image type functions in Picture (PiP) or the ability to display two different video sources side by side on the screen (P by P). To do this, the screen offers two HDMI inputs, DisplayPort. It also has four USB 3.0 ports and two 7W speakers, and a foot for adjusting the orientation or height (with a travel of 100 mm).


Samsung evokes currently no price, but its SE790C is already referenced in some Swiss retailers priced at 1599 CHF, about 1320 euros. Opposite LG are offered at a similar form of screen, but this tim e with an IPS panel and a Thunderbolt connector 2. Available from September, LG 34UC97 is now charged at around 1000 euros.
