Austria once again cited in the investigation into the attacks in Paris. On Tuesday, the Austrian prosecutor announced the arrest of two suspects linked to the attacks of Bataclan, terraces of eastern Paris and Saint-Denis. Older than thirty years, these two men were arrested this weekend in Salzburg migrants home in western Austria. The prosecution said the two individuals are “suspected of belonging to a terrorist organization” and that “checks are underway regarding a possible relationship” with the commando Paris.

These two persons “from the Middle East “could have provided assistance to suicide, announce two Austrian newspapers. According to local press, the two men were registered as Syrian refugees on the Greek island of Leros, probably using fake passports. They would then be passed through Serbia and tracked, in October, from the Austrian region of Styria to Salzburg, thanks to information from a foreign intelligence agency.

The tabloid Kronen Zeitung even suggests that the two suspects would be of French nationality, respectively Algerian and Pakistani family origins, and would be in the company arrived in Syria to some of the perpetrators of the attacks. Information that the prosecution refuses to confirm. Christian Pilnacek, the Austrian Ministry of Justice, ensures that “the known facts are sufficient to hold the two men” but refused to say more not to hinder the investigation. “It’s a puzzle that we have to complete,” he says.

The investigation into the attacks in Paris had already revealed that the golf Abdeslam Salah, one of the commandos, passed by Austria. On September 9, it was controlled at the border between Hungary and Austria to a Mercedes, two in the company of individuals who “made use of false Belgian ID cards in the name of Samir Bouzid and Soufiane Kayal “according to the Belgian prosecutor. At the time, the trio says will spend “a week’s holiday in Austria” and did not care.

The Austrian press recalls the arrest of two people, aged from twenty years in Salzburg, a few weeks before the attacks on suspicion of belonging to a terrorist organization. They presented themselves as Syrian asylum seekers. They are still being held, but to date, the investigation has not uncovered evidence of links with the team attacks in Paris.
