A French start-up is talked about with Cicret, its revolutionary smartphone project. But this concept could be a fake.
A French start-up has launched a fundraising campaign in order to develop a virtual smartphone called Cicret. Connected with a bracelet, a smartphone hologram is projected via a pico-projector on the forearm of the user. It is possible to use a smartphone directly from his forearm. As shown in the video below, a simple movement of the forearm is sufficient to project the interface. A concept that certainly dream, but that is far from achievable
To design its product, the start-up needs 700 000. If in general the high tech devices fundraisers are successful, it is however not the case here. Indeed, only 14% of the required amount has been harvested. If the campaign hardly seduce is that something is wrong. For more information, the site 01Net contacted Guillaume Pommier, one of the creators of the project. The company would have only five employees with a single technician. The start-up has not filed any patent, only the mark “Cicret Bracelet”. No industrial partner was found, although Guillaume Pommier says he convinced a wealthy Indian investor.
A project that looks so much like a scam than a serious concept.
