Concerned about the safety of its users, Google has announced the integration into the search engine of a new feature called Find my phone .
According to the Mountain View giant, Find my phone will allow users to Android devices (phones or tablets) to locate their smartphones for loss; this using search engine Google . However, Google said that the functioning of the new functionality requires prior installation of the latest version of Google app on the device in question.
Remember also that Google already had introduced 2013 an application called Android Device Manager that allows users to locate, lock and delete their data from an Android device connected to the Internet.
That said, Find my phone can be considered the equivalent of the application Android Device Manager but used from a computer .
To use this new feature, the user must first ensure that the Google account connected to it from their computer is the same one that was set on his Android device lost or stolen. Once this first audit, he performed his Internet browser and go to the home page of Google. On the latter, the user enters Find my phone in the search engine bar to run the feature.
In response to the seizure previously performed on its search engine, Google displays a map that attempts to inform the user about the location of his misplaced device. After a few seconds of waiting, more precise information on the device’s location will be visible including the distance between the computer and the location for the unit.
on said card, when the handset seems to be very close, the user will no longer have to make a click on “Ring” or “Sounding” if it is a device that is lost (eg at home, in the office, in the car …). Immediately after this, the device will ring for about five minutes; This will allow the owner to find it easily.

It should be noted that in the current state, this new feature “Find my phone” is only available in the United States.
