A total of 721 cars were burned and 603 persons taken into custody during the two evenings of 13 and 14 July, announced Wednesday, July 15 evening the Ministry of Interior.
The number of cars burned is up 23% from last year and that of in custody jumped 68%.
A total of 723 people were arrested during the two nights . “Especially mobilized, including through Vigipirate, the police have applied zero tolerance against these excesses” , told AFP a spokesman for the ministry.
