It is a certainty now, Samsung will not the Galaxy S8 on the occasion of the Mobile World Congress, the great mass of smartphones, which will be held at the end of the month of February in Barcelona. The Korean, however, will be present, but he is expected to announce a new tablet, the Galaxy Tab S3.
It is in any case that suggests this first teaser image sent out by Samsung to announce its press conference MWC that the brand will take place on 26 February. This image is intriguing : we see a device very wide to curved edges reminiscent of the Galaxy S6, and S7 edge, and a port USB Type-C. The size of the device in question suggests that it is a tablet, which would be announced during the conference.
update : as we noted one of our readers, the teaser image does not indicate the portion of a tablet with a USB port, Type-C, but rather a preview of the channel bottom of the tablet, with the Home button in the center.
A tablet top of the range according to the first rumors
This communication on the part of Samsung arrives a few hours after the release of two leaks of technical data about a certain… Galaxy Tab S3. From there to think that Samsung will announce this tablet at MWC, there is not one that can be crossed easily.
According to these rumors, the Galaxy S3 would look like a tablet top of the range. It embarquerait a screen of 9.6 inches of definition QHD (2048 × 1536), probably on a slab Super Amoled display. For the components, the rumors differ. For Android Soul, it will have a SoC Exynos 7420, that are already found on the Galaxy S6. For Naver (Korean), it would be in fact a Snapdragon 820, the chip mobile high-end of 2016. But everyone agrees on the fact that it will have 4 Gb of RAM. It will also be installed in Android 7.0 Nougat.
We do not know however not yet what it will be like. Naver says that it will be very thin, with a thickness of 5.6 mm. Samsung will there of curved edges on a device as large and as thin ? This would be surprising because the ergonomics would suffer necessarily. Response to the end of the month.
