Consumption data via a mobile in France has almost doubled in a year and now exceeds one gigabyte (GB) per month in 2015 to active clients on the Internet, according to the digital barometer presented Friday by the Telecom Regulatory Authority ( Arcep) and the General Council of the economy (CGE).

The tablet becomes more popular than computers

The Ministry of Economy and ARCEP commissioned a study by Credoc. The objective is to obtain digital usage information. In its report, ARCEP indicates that the uses already installed continue to grow: 51% of French people listen or download music on the Internet; 35% watch or download movies, videos or series; 37% watch TV on the Internet, live or catch. Meanwhile, the use of social networks is exploding, especially for information; 52% participate in social networks. The study also distinguishes a change Internet usages in depending on qualifications obtained since only 44% of non-graduates go on the canvas when almost all university graduates use. If the mobile Internet is now widely entered the uses, it does not hold true for the use of home automation or digital books, which are only used by, respectively, 6% and 8% of respondents .

Classification Arcep uses of smartphones

Internet and email in mind. At the head of this barometer, web browsing uses 52% of smartphone owners. Just behind, we find another use mobile flagship, namely consultation of mails and electronic messages, for 45% of users. Two uses up sharply this year as they were respectively 43 and 36% in 2014.
