Piracy HDCP series 4K Amazon and Netflix in nature – ZDNet France

No computer lock does long takes. Amazon and Netflix had bet on the protection HDCP 2.2 (High-Bandwidth Digital Copy Protection) to protect their new exclusive series 4K.

But according to the always well informed TorrentFreak, this content is now available on several illegal sharing sites. This implies that this protection has been broken and that the hackers were able to download the series from the official platforms.

Remember that the HDCP protocol developed by Intel used to restrict the use of content streamed on broadcasting platforms such as Netflix and Amazon.

According to TorrentFreak, the available videos are the original files in ultra high definition (including episodes of new series Jessica Jones or The Man in the High Castle).

This is the first time HDCP 2.2 is bypassed and for the studios, you will find something else face the pirates who often one step ahead in digital lock. Because with this piracy, is the economic model of giants like Netflix, which is weakened.
