The next major update of Windows 10 will be centered on the 3D, with the optical make the user an actor of this universe chart. In coherence with this objective, the american publisher decided to name his new album Windows 10 Creators Update (or Windows 10 Designers). Microsoft said that it will be launched in early 2017. The 3D to the honour
“The Creators Update will allow everyone to create, share and experience in 3D, but also to connect with others more quickly and make any player a broadcaster,” says-t-on at Microsoft. - 3D Paint. A new version of Paint (called Paint 3D) must be used to create and manipulate graphics content in 3D. 3D Paint will be designed, also, to transform an existing image in 3D.
- Remix 3D. as part of the Windows 10 Creators Update, Microsoft plans to open a community site (Remix3D.com), on which the creators of 3D content will be able to share their graphical models. It will be possible to search for items in 3D directly from 3D Paint.
- 3D Capture. Microsoft will provide Windows 10 Mobile, a device for converting an object to a 3D image. To dematerialize and an object, it will only shoot with the camera of the camera rotating around him. Eventually, Microsoft plans to offer also this possibility on iOS and Android.
- Windows MyPeople. A new sharing mechanism will make its entrance in Windows 10 with the Creators Update. It is Windows MyPeople. It will offer the ability to pin contacts in the task bar, in the manner of applications, and then share content with them by drag-and-drop.
- Windows Holographic built by other manufacturers. on the occasion of the release of Windows 10 Creators Update, Microsoft will allow partners of manufacturers to market devices that support Windows Holographic (HP, Lenovo, Asus, Dell and Acer are mentioned). The group will not be the only one to offer (with HoloLens) a helmet with augmented reality that is based on Windows 10.
- 3D Support in Office. The Windows 10 Creators Update should also allow to introduce support for 3D models in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. “For example in PowerPoint, you will have the possibility to create animations, kinematics in three dimensions”, advanced Microsoft.
- Better integration of Ink to Office. integration with Office applications of Ink, the technology of Windows 10 that is centered on the note-taking touch, will be improved (via Ink Editor and Ink Replay).
- Xbox. Microsoft plans to maximize the interactive capabilities of its game console – particularly around the management of network games and multi-players.
Apple in the viewfinder
In parallel with Windows 10 Creators Update, Microsoft has unveiled Surface Studio : a work station all-in-one tailored for the graphic professional. The group, Satya Nadella has also shown the Surface Dial, a sort of Magic TrackPad for interacting with the screen (scroll up a document, zoom in, pick a color…). In the end, it is pretty clear that with all this new arsenal, Microsoft has Apple in the viewfinder. Redmond intends to propose an alternative to the environment iMac, which remains a reference tool in the field of graphic design.
