Blackberry Android: two smartphones in the pipeline? – ZDNet France

The Blackberry passage in the Android camp takes it form? There are two weeks, Reuters argued that the Canadian firm would have in his files a smartphone running Android project, the terminal in question, the output would be scheduled for this fall, would combine a touchscreen and a sliding physical keyboard could resume some features the BlackBerry OS 10.

A real surprise for a group that keeps repeating
the smartphone market is no longer a priority for him,
preferring to focus on the services and applications for
businesses. Yet John Chen, CEO even brought him
  credence to this rumor.

When asked by CNBC late June,
the manager said: “We only produce phones
secure and BlackBerry is the most secure phone, so if I
can find a way to secure an Android smartphone, I
would produce also. “It must be said that if Android is not the
most secure platform that is, to put it mildly, it is
 particularly securable, by its opening.

Today is the site N4BB that goes beyond evoking the launch “next month” a model for the moment called Prague and hosted by the green robot. It would aim first emerging and resume the Z3 design. For his part, Evan Blass (Evleaks), a second slider model would also named Venice in cardboard.

High-end, it would also be facilitated by a complete version of Android, and propose therefore access to Google Play and other services of the US giant. The smartphone will be launched in the US by AT & T in November. It would have a quad HD 5.4 inch screen, a Snapdragon processor octacore 808 to 1.8 GHz, 3GB of RAM and
a camera of 18 MP. Evan Blass posted this looks like a concept of this smartphone.

Remember also that BlackBerry and Android have already
close: Canada opened the door to supporting green robot
 part of
Android applications via the App Shop Amazon to strengthen
the attractiveness of its own OS with the mass market.

B2B side, one can also mention the recent Android for Work, or the agreement between the Canadian and Samsung to build Android tablets. Moreover, getting out a
Android terminal for BlackBerry is a way to demonstrate the
robustness and versatility of its platform while abandoning BES12
its efforts on BB10 whose use is very marginal (despite
  its intrinsic qualities).

If the EMM market is now ultra
competitive, BlackBerry intends to take its game with
opening would be illustrated, reinforced with the existence of this
Android device. At nevertheless risk and cover their tracks
lessen even more attractive for current and future terminals
 as BB10.
