IFA: Huawei grid courtesy to Apple with a smartphone Force Touch – ZDNet France

We know for some time, Huawei has no plans to make up the numbers in the global smartphone market. Already firmly hooked to third in the world, the Chinese giant continues to show its ambitions and go upmarket. Proof is the Mate S, unveiled at the IFA in Berlin and who intends to harm the iPhone 6 and 6s and the Samsung Galaxy S6.

It should be said that the manufacturer has played the card of innovation with a Touch screen Force and grilling politeness to Apple was to be the first to use the technology for its new iPhone 6s to be unveiled next week . This technology allows to combine functions according to the pressure on the screen.

So, the more hard pressed Mate S of the screen, the more you zoom in on a photo, for example. The screen can also be used to balance first. It is also possible to launch some applications by drawing a letter on the screen. Of course, the efficiency of the process has yet to be tested but one thing is certain, it must wince a bit of the apple aside.

The S Mate also embeds an advanced fingerprint sensor placed back of the camera which allows you to scroll your photos or picking up the phone.

In addition to these technological innovations, Huawei smartphone delivers a neat and slim design, metal, has a full HD screen of 5.5 inches and 3 GB of RAM. Only weak point: its price higher than the “standard” of Huawei. The Mate S will indeed be sold between 649 and 699 euros. But one thing is certain: Huawei is now playing in the big leagues
