Virtual Reality: Huawei Launches clone Gear VR – 01net.com

The market for virtual reality helmets a new player account. This is Huawei. The brand has announced on her Weibo account the arrival of headphones that can be used with its latest smartphones, and P9 P9 Plus, but also with the Mate 8.

This helmet in direct competition with the Gear VR Samsung and not only the look but also in ergonomics, since one finds a lens adjustment dial and a back button on the top and a trackpad right. Both headsets also work the same way: with a smartphone on which is loaded a virtual reality app

The difference between the two devices is done in sound.. Huawei announced that its helmet will offer a 360-degree sound. It is not yet known exactly what matches this term, but we assume that it is a spatial experience that aims to strengthen the feeling of immersion in the content.

From next to the data sheet, Huawei says the helmet displays an image in Full HD with a latency of 20 ms and a field of view 95 degrees and it has a protective filter against blue light. The brand also reported that the lenses can correct myopia up to -7.00. This is good news since the helmet seems difficult to wear with glasses.

Huawei –

Another interesting point, Huawei announced the launch of the helmet, the date is not specified, users can enjoy free over 4 000 films (presumably only a portion will be in virtual reality), over 40 games and several hundred sightseeing tours. It remains to know the quality of that content … and the price of Huawei VR helmet
