NASA unveiled new images taken by one of its satellites, to see the dark side of Moon with, in the background, the Blue Planet.
This is the satellite DSCOVR, orbiting the Earth at 1.6 million kilometers, which took these pictures on 16 July. On board, a photo-telescope system, the Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera (EPIC), and will take a photo of the Earth and Moon together twice a year. These pictures show the famous Dark of the Moon, which is never visible from Earth. She had been photographed in 1959, thanks to the Soviet probe Luna 3.
