Information which proved greatly exaggerated: Developer’s monitoring does not apply hard drives of the machine, but is limited to its own services such as Xbox Live, Skype or onedrive, as was already the case.
However, the fear continues its path and now stands at the bittorrent community. According to TorrentFreak, some trackers have simply decided to exclude users under Windows 10. This is the case in particular tracker iTS. On Reddit, a director explains that he ‘officially banned “ Microsoft’s new operating system, because it would send ” the data from your local disks directly “ to the server MarkMonitor, a company that offers brand protection solutions and the fight against counterfeiting.
