Google+ has begun a recovery phase opting for simplifying and focusing on the Communities and Collections.
Whereas to lay the sponge after failing to compete with Facebook as a social network, Google+, which has been stripped of some of its key features, bounces on two main areas that are the Communities and Collections. Allowing it also to simplify the product.
The Communities, launched in late 2012, are spaces around interests and would total each day 1.2 million new users joining a community. As for collections, they are more recent since they were introduced last May and consist of group publications on a general theme.
Launched in June 2011, Google had never assumed to be a network social but more a social layer across all Google services. The new starting Google+ includes a complete redesign of the flow Home. This new Google+ is optional on the Web. The user has the option to switch them with the possibility of a return to the classical version. The applications for Android and iOS should be updated in the coming days.
Therefore, the social network becomes almost secondary side now with a strategy that focuses on user interests. But Google warns that all features have not found their way into the new design.
