Windows 1.0 was launched on 20 in November 1985, two years after Bill Gates was unveiled for the first time to the public. The computers got this operating system for the first time on November 20th 1985. This first version of Windows was one of the greatest failures of Microsoft.
The successive versions, some knowing success, others being hated by critics and the public. Now, with Windows 10, Microsoft believes have on hand a version which, thanks to regular updates, is in place for very long.
Windows 1.0 is launched November 20, 1985 , but the success was not at the rendezvous
Microsoft has come a long way in 30 years, since the changes between 1.0 and Windows 10 are impressive. At the time, the design of the graphical interface was based on MS-DOS. The success was not immediately go because the Redmond company was forced to wait until 1990 that the results are those expected. Windows 3.0 so brought news particularly at the management of the memory.
Windows XP was the great success of Microsoft
Five years later, Microsoft lifted the veil on Windows 95 and the base was used for the OS that followed. At the time, there was the introduction of the Start button and taskbar. Other versions have marked the history of Microsoft, including Windows 98 and XP. The latter is still installed on particular professional machines. It has been widely recognized through real stability. There are, however, misfired for 30 with, for example Vista that was not a great success.
Microsoft has messed users with Windows 8.0
After Windows 7, Microsoft has been pointed with version 8.0 and disappearance of the Start button. The user experience was upset, which caused complaints. The firm was forced to make an update and introduce the famous button again. In July 2015, Microsoft has written a new page in its history with Windows 10 which has the distinction of being the last OS society. The latter does not intend to spread other versions, only updates will be available.
Windows 1.0
Designed around a GUI layer based on MS-DOS, Windows 1.0 was immediately adopted by the MS-DOS computer manufacturer companies. But it was not until 1990 and the release of Windows 3.0 that OS wins his first real commercial success. This version introduced including better memory management and the ability to run MS-DOS programs in their own window.
Developing an own executable format, it is illustrated primarily by the principle drivers (drivers), which allowed a program to use a device, regardless of the machine in question.
Version 1.0 was announced by Microsoft in , which appeared two years before the release of the software, develop a controversy that Windows would be abandoned. In 1985, the program is finally officially distributed, but its success is limited to low United States alone; and it was not until version 1.02 (in 1986) to see the first international versions.
One of the other reasons that Windows would have led to failure was its poor management of windows. They did not have a close button (had to go through a menu).
