Google announces greater flexibility for professional conferences made via the Hangouts service.
Google wants to democratize its maximum Hangouts service, including within companies. The California company says it has completed a feature that allows sharing a link to a video conference, and request a participation authorization if the recipient has not been explicitly invited.
On its official blog, the Google Apps team adds that it is no longer required to have a Google account to participate in a conference. Internet users not making use of Google Calendar find the link to the conference in the notes of the event. Simply click on it and specify its name.
Last month, Skype team announced meanwhile that it was no longer necessary to have a Microsoft account to join a group conversation. Indeed, it is possible again to generate a unique link and share it via email, SMS, Whatsapp or otherwise, to invite one of its contacts to participate in a group call. If one of the parties does not have the client on your PC or Mac, or the application on his smartphone, he can get Skype Web. Furthermore, it will not be necessary to have a user account, it will suffice to mention just a participant name.
For now, the flexibility provided on Hangouts concerns only Google Apps for Work accounts.
