After the failure of the first version of its Google Glass, the Mountain View company had indicated taking the time to rethink its product and why not imagine several versions. A patent validated by the US Patent Office (US Patent and Trademark Office) seems to confirm this orientation, since it concerns more glasses but an electronic device with a screen and a single branch. That is a monocle.
One of the innovative features of this device is its branch. Despite the fact that loads the electronic device, it can be adjusted by the user to be in contact with its head in several places: the temple along behind the ear and the skull, explains in substance patent. And once the branch set up, it will keep the right position for optimum comfort.

There is also talk in this patent a single screen that could be used with a prism or other element that would stretch about the face so that the image is visible with both eyes.
The patent also includes other details such as a touch surface to interact with the device. It also indicates that it may include an input port on the branch, for example to accommodate a tool offering a new function.
Google Patent says nothing however the use for which the company intends this monocle. Recall that Google has stopped selling his glasses connected to the public in January. Six months later, the company announced that a model for professionals went into testing and in September, she undertook the Amazon lab engineers to work on a connected device known as the Aura project.
