Death, Google+? One would think, even if it is true that Google has given up much of its ambitions in the social networking sector. However, the Mountain View company maintains good developments around service.
Google has also just announced a new version or redesign of Google+. Proof that the advertising giant has reduced the wing, he announced that the new Google+ will focus on two functions (community), namely Communities and Collections.
Communities, as its name suggests, creates communities around interests and / or groups of individuals. These online spaces allow such members to publish “photos and videos, organize events or chat face to face with Hangouts.”
Established in 2012, Communities wanted a competitor of Facebook Groups. According to the American firm, the function has now found its audience with 1.2 million people every day joining a community.
As for collections, it is a feature of Google+ launched last May and used to group its various publications on the theme service. These collections can then be shared (privately or publicly).
“Focusing now on interests, the new Google+ is much simpler. And it is more suited to the mobile” assure the American firm.
