Apple Music: 10 million subscribers in six months. Apple remains silent – ZDNet France

After the first six months of activity, the Cupertino would have hired 10 million subscribers (paying, the service is not available in free version) Apple Music, its music streaming platform.

This figure however is not official, but revealed by the Financial Times. Apple should not normally communicate on the number of subscribers on the occasion of the publication of its next quarterly results. Meanwhile, she refused to comment.

If Apple made a very good start, building on its reputation, iTunes and size its fleet of iPhone customers, it still remains well behind the market leader, Spotify. The European company claims 20 million paying customers, plus 75 million users of its free service. Spotify has the advantage of maturity since it was launched in 2008.
