sfr

SFR has just been condemned by the competition Authority for having deliberately broadcast false advertising with inaccurate information.

The operators want to do much to seduce customers, in particular because of the competition. Sometimes, wanting to please at any price, they are too much. This is exactly the case of SFR. For wanting to attract new consumers, the operator has exceeded the terminals according to the competition Authority. Therefore, he was sanctioned immediately by the latter. Only, this is not the first time that the group is called to order.

Recently, SFR has merged with Numericable. This news has made the rounds of the news. But there is little time to it, the operator at the red square has been sentenced to 80 million euro fine by the competition Authority. question : the amalgamation has been made even before they have been validated. Only, today the group is re-sentenced following a complaint made by competitor : Orange.

now, if SFR is in the viewfinder of these authorities it is because of an advertisement, ” based on inaccurate data” . In fact, in one of his pubs he announced a price for an offer of the optical fiber that is less than the reality… In this advertisement, the group promises a price of € 19.99 per month for 12 months, and then 34,99 euros. Only, in reality, the operator active option is automatically LICO Play/Sport. It increases the price 54,98 eur per month or 19,99 + 34,99 euros. The customer can disable this option, if it is made aware.

The commercial court of Paris has fined the operator because this price does not figure in any media campaign. He adds: “We will say that this campaign, based on inaccurate data, is intentionally misleading, only at the beginning of the period end of the year, and given its mass character, it creates a manifestly illegal” .

Thus, SFR is obliged to withdraw the advertisement, under the penalty of a fine of 10 000 euros per infringement, as well as pay 10,000 euros at Orange
