Panicked, some bittorrent trackers banish Windows 10 – 01net

vis-à-vis paranoia Windows 10 is going up a notch. Last week, a rumor was circulating within the community of gamers, like what Microsoft could block pirated games installed on a Windows computer 10. Information which proved greatly exaggerated: Developer’s monitoring does not apply hard drives of the machine, but is limited to its own services such as Xbox Live, Skype or onedrive, as was already the case.

However, the fear continues its path and now stands at the bittorrent community. According to TorrentFreak, some trackers have simply decided to exclude users under Windows 10. This is the case in particular tracker iTS. On Reddit, a director explains that he ‘officially banned “ Microsoft’s new operating system, because it would send ” the data from your local disks directly “ to the server MarkMonitor, a company that offers brand protection solutions and the fight against counterfeiting. Other trackers such as BB or FSC, considering doing the same.

The reaction of these directors is understandable, given the weak legal nature of their business. It nevertheless seems exaggerated. So far, no one has really proven that Windows 10 actually transfers such information. Furthermore, it is possible to configure the system so as to make it silent.
