Windows 10 continues its development: first post-RTM Release Preview – ZDNet France

Microsoft had announced: Windows Insider program does not end with the launch of Windows 10 of 29 July. Members and testers therefore continue to receive new OS developments.

The publisher has also just distribute (for the Fast Ring, the fast circuit) a first pre-release (Build No. 10525 ) since the release of the RTM (build the No. 10240), distributed to insiders on July 15.

Nothing very new here. The next major milestone for Windows 10 should take place around October through an update known as Threshold codenamed 2. This will provide fixes and new features.

In the preview release, Microsoft introduced a new concept in the memory manager, Compression Store. This feature should help reduce the amount of memory used by processes to keep more applications in physical memory and improve the responsiveness of the OS.

Note cosmetic changes as Color options for the Start menu, and Title Action Center. Fast Ring consisting of the first testers, the versions of the OS keep bugs.
