This is a solution that can help a forgetful user: Microsoft has indeed ended its free offer to migrate to Windows 10 Friday, July 29. Promised, vowed there will be no second chance by the publisher. But an exception exists: free migration offer is still valid for users with a version of Windows equipped with accessibility software.
In the FAQ dedicated, Microsoft explains that is currently no end date has been announced for this offer. Moreover, no checks are made on the side of Microsoft: just go to the dedicated page to download the software to migrate the machine Windows 7 or Windows 8 to 10. Unlike the update tool “classic”, it requires no key to the user who wishes to migrate or even justify anything.
Windows offers enhanced versions of its OS of accessibility features to help people with disabilities to use their operating system. These features allow for example to provide an audio description for web browsing, specific keyboards or magnifying functions and zoom to people with visual impairments.
Microsoft’s offer is wide: as they explain in the FAQ, it is open to all accessibility software for Windows users with no software restrictions. As explained Numerama, Microsoft does not come either check if the user whether or not to its software, which leaves the possibility to update their OS once the date of 29 July last.
