a few months ago, the boss of Facebook announced is to be harnessed to the creation of an intelligent personal assistant called Jarvis, in tribute to the AI designed by Tony Stark in Iron Man.
It would seem that Mark Zuckerberg has enough advanced in its project to move to the next stage, where his assistant sees with a voice. But that might well lend its voice to this creation ? With obviously no response stopped in the head, the founder of Facebook turned to its “followers” and posed the question on his profile. “The time has come to give a voice to my AI, Jarvis. Who do I ask to do that ?”
Some 44 000 comments and 201 000 responses later, it is clear from the proposals that some have good memory and remembers that Arnold Schwarznegger, former governor of California, and especially lord Terminator, had offered to lend her voice at the announcement of the project. But what are especially three names that surnagent and seem to have to take away the suffrage : Robert Downey JR, Benedict Cumberbatch and Paul Bettany.
The first of course is the actor who portrays Iron Man in various films in the Marvel universe. The second, in addition to that he is a great Sherlock Holmes for the BBC, has given life thanks to his voice to the dragon Smaug in the Hobbit. Finally, Paul Bettany is probably the least as we all know, but yet it is him who plays the role of Jarvis, the AI in Iron Man. Three contenders impressive and legitimate, therefore, and a headache. Which one to choose ?
The magic of the Internet seems to have a more time operated. Robert Downey Jr has in fact responded directly to the message of Mark Zuckerberg proposing a solution that could satisfy everyone. Judge for yourself : “I’ll do it without hesitation if Bettany is paid and he gives the money to a good cause chosen by Cumberbatch,” he wrote. The boss of Facebook seems to be enjoying the idea.
It should be noted, special mention, very good proposal from a Visitor who suggested that the vote be conducted by Kristian Nairn, best known for his role as Hodor in the series Game of Thrones. It is true that a wizard artificial, which would not be able to say Hodor may have a limited interest. But at least [spoiler alert] it could hold the doors closed…
