The application Trusted Contacts is an Android app that will use geolocation to tell people where you are (the iOS version is under development). Through the application, it is possible to ask a person which one is the contact of confidence to say if “all goes well” or not. The app will ask the person to share his location in case of a problem or refuse to share. In which case, the meaning is simple : everything goes well.
No answer ? The sharing is automatic
once the position request is sent, the person has 5 minutes to share its position or to decline the request. Once this time has elapsed, the position is shared automatically… But that does not mean that the person is not well. She may have simply left his phone in his bag. The “trusted Contacts” will therefore have to act with common sense and not call for help immediately.
However, trusted Contacts allows you to know the latest position of the smartphone, which can be useful in the event of an accident or if a person is lost without the possibility of having the network. In addition, the application allows you to inform a person that is in the process of returning to the house, for example, late in the evening, and share the position with this last.
