Google is about to be fined by the Committee of European competition. The company is accused of maintaining an abuse of dominant position in the research sector with 90 to 95% of market share. In addition, Google largely favor its own services within its engine at the expense of competition.

After a five-year investigation, the European Commission is expected to announce sanctions against Google. The company may have to pay a fine of $ 6 billion, or 10% of its turnover in the last year. In his letter to employees, the company explained that a survey will be conducted on Android. Google then explains that his system has brought down the price of handsets while offering some diversity to consumers. The company added that its OS is open source and freely distributed to anyone. It is known, however, that Google has very restrictive agreements with partners so that it can benefit from Google Play.

For Google, Android is also an important source of income for developers with over 7 billion donated over the last year. Google says that consumers can choose the applications of their choice even those offering alternatives to Google services.
