Nokia and Alcatel-Lucent announce merger – BBC

Nokia and Alcatel-Lucent announced their merger to create the world leader in innovation in next-generation technologies.

Nokia will make a public exchange offer on Alcatel shares in France and the United States. The Nokia offering, 0.55 new share for each share Alcatel-Lucent values ​​the Franco-American group to 15.6 billion. Nokia’s shareholders will hold 66.5% of the group and of Alcatel-Lucent’s 33.5%.
