The Google Glass back soon? – JDN

A few months after stopping the program, Google wants to bounce back and is already working on the second version of his glasses connected according to several sources.

To say that the suspension of the sale of Google Glass earlier this year created stupor. It must be said that the failures of this magnitude are rare at Google. But the giant is tough and would not have heard the last to believe one of the partners of its connected glasses, Luxottica. The CEO of italient group of high-end eyewear frames and just said at a meeting with the shareholders of the group he was there “in Google, alternative thoughts on how to collect the version 3 glasses “. “What we have seen fit to version 1. We are working on version 2, which is under development,” he says in comments relayed by the US daily Wall Street Journal. A new version of Google Goggles connected should in fact be marketed “soon.”

The Google Chairman Eric Schmidt did not say anything else besides the time of the announcement of the withdrawal he defined as “temporary” and as a way to review Google’s approach in the matter. It must be said that the failure was shouting to the general public, smarting from a little advantage and privacy issues associated with these aesthetic glasses that allowed filming every move of his entourage. The reception was much warmer side of the professional world from medicine to engineering had quickly identified opportunities generated by these glasses.

Today is the father of the iPod and founder of Nest, Tony Fadell, the responsibility of the Google Glass project that has just joined the fold of the “Connected Home” branch of Google. And it would be already busy to believe the Journal du Geek who sees the latest data sheets sent by Google to the FCC (for validation of its use in the US) a new version of the connected glasses. The device smart BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) is so with an interface that is very similar to that of Google Glass.
