The US giant Facebook is undermined Europe this week including this study, which has just been published, hunt down Facebook users, connected or not, and those who are not even registered!
We know that Facebook saves our data and what is done on its social network via cookies, small files that are installed on users’ computers and allow to obtain vital information to provide targeted advertisements. But according to a recent study by Belgian researchers and commissioned by the Commission for the protection of privacy in Belgium, these cookies also traqueraient users when they are no longer connected to the social network and at the same time those who are not registered but still would visit a site page.
An illegal practice, according to the European legislation on the use of cookies, which requires all sites to warn users of these cookies as they arrive on site. Cookies that are hidden in the buttons like that would install discreetly famous file.
Of course, from Facebook and recent statement by Richard Allan, Director of European Public Policy and Communications Facebook, this is false and the study would be riddled with inaccuracies and errors . He also strongly emphasized the cookies that would hide in like buttons that are found all over the Internet and who, according to him, would be the only bug where the teams currently plancheraient. When we know the Internet and development, it is hard to imagine how the armada of Facebook developers put more than a few minutes to fix this bug …
Anyway, Facebook bunch therefore key, admits to collecting data illegally, but through a bug, of course, and does not inform us whether the data has been cleared or used. Anyway, we should be wary of those companies whose only business asset is to have important data on millions of people worldwide and in our country and which are under attack on several points very limits by suggesting a simple malfunction is the cause.
