Le social network announced on Monday 3 October, the launch of Marketplace, a new service of sale and purchase of goods between its members.
Based on the fact that more than 450 million people already use Facebook to sell and buy items each month through its groups, the social network has decided to launch a more formal service.
Marketplace, which will soon be available in the United States, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia, will be devoted to the sale and purchase of items and products between its members.
To purchase an item, simply click on the icon dedicated to them on the application Facebook and be guided. Objects will be put forward for each member based on pages you have visited previously. A search bar will help you find the property and objects, with filters based on location, category and price. A simple message to the seller can then get in touch with him and set the terms and conditions of the purchase.
To sell a product, Facebook is inviting its members to take a photo of the article, add it, enter a name, a description and a price, set a location and a category and post.
the Marketplace will be launched this week to users over the age of 18 residing in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand, via the application Facebook for iPhone and Android. The service will be extended to other countries in the coming months.
