Netflix France continues its journey. The subscription VOD service has already attracted 100,000 users in just 15 days. Moreover, it seems that Orange has decided to join Bouygues Telecom among the operators to offer services on their Netflix Box.
Netflix has already won 100,000 French, and in just 15 days. This figure is consistent. By comparison, you should know that the first VOD service in France, Canal Play (Canal +), currently has 520,000 subscribers. Five years were required to Canal Play to arrive at such a figure and assert its leadership.
However, do not rely on these 100,000 users to place on the throne. You should know that Netflix works with a formula providing a first month trial. However, things could change. After Bouygues Telecom will offer Netflix on its box in November, the new video service demand may also be offered at Orange. This information, provided by Le Monde and Le Figaro is surprising. Indeed, Stéphane Richard, CEO of Orange had announced some months ago that Netflix would not be integrated with Orange services.
