Snapchat will launch its first glasses connected – South West

Le service american messaging Snapchat on Saturday announced the upcoming launch of its first eyewear connected, and equipped with a miniature camera.

Dubbed the “Shows”, they will mark a turning point for the american group, founded in 2011 and today boasts over 100 million users daily. To support the company’s strategic reorientation, the group has also decided to change of name to become simply “Snap”.

“Now as we develop other products, such as Spectacles, we need a name that is not limited to a single product,” says the group.

These sunglasses, connected by bluetooth or wifi, will record clips of 10 seconds with an angle of view of 115° and transfer it automatically to the messaging Snapchat for the share.

“We created one of the smallest cameras in the world,” says the group on its website, ensuring wanting to enable future users to “create memories”.

The group, popular for its messages that disappear after reading, target, always a young readers with a pair of round glasses to the playful design and will be available in three colors.

In its press release, Snap ensures that this new product will be available for sale “soon”. Several u.s. media evoke an output fall.

The giant Google had been the first to launch glasses interactive, the “Google Glass”,, but had to announce the end of sale in January 2015 because they have seduced consumers.
