India to conquer Mars – DirectMatin.fr

The Indian Mars Orbiter Mission came this Wednesday, Sept. 23 in the orbit of Mars.

India confirms its status as a space power. The Mars Orbiter Mission – also called Mangalyaan by Indians – it launched on November 5, has entered the orbit of Mars.

The mission, lasting six months, will be measure the presence of methane in the atmosphere of the planet , which accredit the hypothesis a form of primitive life.

India becomes the first Asian country to reach Mars , grilling politeness to China. So far, only the United States, Russia and Europe had reached up to the red planet.

This technological feat was accomplished with an extremely low budget , since India has spent only $ 74 million, less than the budget of the film Gravity ($ 100 million) as pointed out by the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

The mission was designed on the principle of “Jugaad”, which is to find the least expensive way to achieve his goals.
