Andreas Lubitz also lied to doctors – BBC

Andreas Lubitz, the first officer Germanwings suspected of having deliberately caused the plane crash that claimed 150 lives last week in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, lied to doctors by providing them be sick then he continued to work, now reports the daily Bild.

Andreas Lubitz, which include consulting doctors for eye problems, they said his profession and sometimes even mentioned the name of his employer, but he concealed the fact that he continued to work, according to the German newspaper, citing sources close to the investigation. Documents in the possession of investigators also show that he was involved in a car accident at the end of last year. The opening of the airbag would have earned him a trauma and sight problems.

He said doctors undergoing treatment against depression, anxiety and panic attacks, continued Bild, adding that he was taking an antidepressant and Lorazepam, an anxiolytic. Lufthansa, Germanwings parent, acknowledged Tuesday that Andreas Lubitz had informed the 2009 flight school personnel of the company when it was formed he had suffered from severe depression.
