Firefox 43 formalizes the 64 bit version for Windows – ZDNet France

The new Firefox happened: Mozilla has formalized its stable version of Firefox 43 in the night, respecting delivery times for the new iteration of its browser. The main novelty of this version 43 is the formalization of the 64-bit version of the browser. It was available on broadcast channels preview provided by Mozilla.

But since Firefox 43, the 64-bit version is offered directly on the official Firefox downloads. This new version should allow a better consideration of RAM and improved performance. It is available on the download page, alongside the 32-bit version: it will then download and reinstall the browser to enjoy.
 

In addition to the semi-new, version of Firefox 43 also brings new features including the addition of search suggestions directly into the url bar. This field, renowned for Firefox Awesome Bar, works in a similar way to the search bar offering autocomplete based on research suggestions directly from the search engine’s default browser. This feature may still be disabled for those confusing the mind.

 Besides these developments, Mozilla also hones private browsing tools, the Windows virtual keyboard for Windows 8 introduced or improved support for video in m4v format. This update finally implements the new measures announced by Mozilla in respect of extensions.
