Twitter : it will soon be possible to modify its messages – Begeek.fr

What was missing Twitter it is including the ability to edit posts after they are published. Indeed, it is the wish of the majority of users of the social network of the blue bird. The latter had until then refused to implement such a feature but it would be finally in the process of thinking about the question.

editing messages after publication, Twitter, think of it

A little earlier in the week, the micro-blogging website, has consulted with its users, asking them what they would like to see appear as a feature in 2017 on their favorite social network. It is the ability to edit their tweets after publishing that has been the most popular.

Jack Dorsey, the current CEO of Twitter has said that the edition of the tweets was in fact a need and that the company thought about it seriously. It further stated that if editing was allowed, it would be possible that in the minutes after publication, to correct a fault, for example. Nothing says, however, that this feature will be implemented this year. If this option is not complicated to implement in the social network, it nevertheless poses a few problems, especially due to the functioning of the social network based on the sharing of publications and retweets.

Establish a history of changes

It seems indeed difficult to manage a tweet that would have been shared hundreds of times, and in the meantime changed, giving a completely different meaning, for example. Jack Dorsey mentioned in a tweet the ability to view a history of each publication or to add the words “amended” on the publication, such as on Facebook.

Twitter has to deal with the stagnation in the number of its members and must at all costs to propose improvements to appeal to more users if it wants to achieve financial profitability in the year 2017. The social network is currently looking for a buyer but the candidates are not lining up.
