LG Watch Sports and LG Watch Style : future smartwatchs Google now have a name and a release date – Le Journal du Geek

Evan Blass, the famous leaker american has unveiled new information regarding the two smartwatchs Google, in rumors since last summer. These last would, in fact, designed in partnership with LG, would have to name the LG Watch Sports and LG Watch in Style and would be announced as early as the 9th of February next.

Evan Blass is certain : Google will indeed have two smartwatchs designed in partnership with LG on 9 February. The date is not unimportant, it would be the date of release of Android Wear 2.0, the new version of the mobile OS for smartwatch from Google. Both watches would then be the ambassadors of the OS, they would natively.

According to the famous leaker, the design of the watches by both brands would be more or less identical to what Google was with its smartphone Nexus. Therefore, it is assumed that LG would take care of the hardware part (design, components, after-sales SERVICE), whereas Google would of software and updates.

It is also waterproof thanks to a certification IP 68.

The LG Watch Style would be based on the design

The second smartwatch would be the LG Watch Style. As its name indicates, it will focus more on the design. Smaller (screen of 1.2 inches and a thickness of 10.8 mm), it would also be less formidable with its battery of 240 mAh and embarquerait or GPS chip, or NFC chip, and no port for a possible SIM card.

according to Evan Blass, the two watches will be sold the day after their announcement in the United States. They will then be marketed gradually in the rest of the world, very probably through the Google Store. They will also be shown on the occasion of the MWC, which will be held at the end of the month of February in Europe. Their rates, however, are not yet known.
