If Mark Zuckerberg was President, the United States would look like that – Obs

Following the greeting that he addressed to members of Facebook – that is to say to the world – Mark Zuckerberg, has raised a question in many heads : and if it was in the process of preparing his candidacy for the presidency of the United States ?

explaining that he gave himself as a challenge to visit all States of America before the end of the year, the founder and president of Facebook, has provoked a wave of articles about all titled “Is Zuckerberg running for president ?” or stuff like that.

blatant Clues

The researcher in the information sciences and excellent blogger Olivier Ertzscheid has listed in a post the clues the most obvious :

  • in 2013, he created with others a group of reflection on migration matters,
  • before the defeat of Hillary Clinton, Zuckerberg had obtained from the board of Facebook to stay in the presidency of the group, even if he took time out for a political mission (with victory of Trump, it is no longer news),
  • for the first time, he has claimed his faith in a Christmas message (the first step towards the presidency).

All this is convincing enough. And goes hand in hand with the idea that these platforms are already objects policies, it is quite logical that those who build themselves become actors.

But now arises a question : what would it be, the United States, if Mark Zuckerberg the presiding ? This would be what a country that would work like Facebook ?

A country blue

first, this is a country of blue. Mark Zuckerberg has chosen this color for Facebook because he is color blind. If it has imposed the blue to 1 billion internet users, it can do up to 320 million Americans. And so, in the United States of Zuckerberg, everything would become blue, except the people, a sort of country of the Smurfs in the negative.

This would be a country in which nationality would be based on the acceptance of a long list of rules that we accept without reading. One click and it would be an american citizen. It could be american without ever setting foot in the United States, the United States would be a country with the population of expandable, supranational.

” do you Want to be my friend ? “

Reciprocal : it would be a country that we can’t physically visit, without becoming a citizen. Tourism, therefore, does not exist.

This would be a country where there are two types of relationships with others : friend/not friend. This would be a country where it would be easy to talk to people they don’t know, it would be sufficient, when it is crossed in the street, ask them “do you want to be my friend” ?

But it would also be a country where if someone comes to you in the street to ask you ” do you want to be my friend ? “you would have the right to go look at his vacation photos, friends, before responding. This would be a country where when you have decided to be friend with someone, you’d see it when he passes in front of you, which is very convenient.

Kalashnikovs but not zizi

This would be a country where – if one is banned, or if it decides to leave – it would leave all of his possessions on the spot (unless you have made the effort to duplicate systematically in all these years), because everything belongs to the government (remember, it was in the rules that you have accepted).

This would be a country where the administration not everything you do or say, and even, this administration has managed to reduce taxes by providing funding to all kinds of businesses these data on your behavior, and even desires.

Thus, it would be a country where, when you kiss for the first time your girlfriend, or your lover, knocking at your door a travel agent that offers you a romantic weekend in Rome or a dealer of strollers.

This would be a country in which no one would ever see a picture of a breast or a penis, but we could align the kalashnikovs in front of the threshold of his house.

cute Animals

This would be a country where people would spend their time shouting things in the street, and when the other raised up the thumb when they are in agreement.

This would be a country where we love cute animals.

This would be a country where we condemn a lot.

This would be a country whose rules of life change (the direction of flow, for example) without that person being notified. But it would also be a country where when one realizes that the people have a behavior, it can become a rule.

in Short, if Mark Zuckerberg has ruled a day the United States, it would be a mix of the known and the unknown, a combo of stalinism, liberalism and direct democracy.

I don’t know if I want that Mark Zuckerberg becomes President of the United States.
