Why the French rock band was mistaken for … – TF1

A rock band Lorraine, called “Isis Child”, had to change his name to avoid being confused with the group on the internet Islamic state (EI), sometimes referred to in English as the ISIS acronym. “It was really urgent to change because we did not have any visibility on the Internet,” he told AFP Freddy Mazzucco, the songwriter of the group that sings mostly in English. In fact, typing “Isis child” into a search engine, mainly obtains data on Daech (the acronym of IE), particularly on the child killer recently staged by the organization. “We were being lost, buried under the violence of Daech. News murderers children swept us,” quipped Mr. Mazzucco.
Consequently, “Isis Child” – which, according to its leader had acquired more than 15 years some notoriety in Germany, Belgium and Scandinavia in particular – will now be called “Angel’s Whisper” (the murmur of the angel). “The name Isis + Child +, they laid SACEM, but obviously this is only for France,” fun rocker. Now renamed the Lorraine musicians have in any case an unexpected media … related to their homonymous with the jihadists. “It’s a blessing in disguise, but it is true that in turn it makes us the pub,” admits Mr. Mazzucco.
