Adobe has announced the beginning of the end of Flash. In a blog post, the company announced that in 2016, the CC Flash Professional tool for creating animations, will be renamed Animate CC. This name change is somewhat the symbol of the victory of HTML5.
Flash language has played a major role on the web, Adobe believes, in terms of animation as audio or Video, but the company’s customers have requested that their software evolve. Request Adobe said they heard. And like today, the company believes that the standards like HTML5 are sufficiently developed to provide the capabilities that Flash was inaugurated, she finally embraces the new web standards.
However, Adobe would like to recall that it had already begun this migration. According to her, a third of the content produced using Flash Professional CC already using HTML5. The “new” tool will allow creating HTML5 animations foremost but will support Flash yet anyway. For Adobe, this technology is still needed in areas such as gambling or some high-end video.
Meanwhile, Adobe will offer an HTML5 video player for desktop browsers. The company also states that it works with industry leaders such as Google and Microsoft to ensure compatibility of Flash content on browsers and Facebook for the Flash games available on the social network can continue to be used safely.
For security matters were far more problematic for those involved in high-tech who felt that Flash had become too fragile.
