Jack the Ripper was a Polish barber by the name of Aaron Kosminski , a lead author British, who claims to have been able to unravel the mystery of the identity of the most famous Serial Killer of history, with traces of DNA.
The identity the murderer is subject to all the speculation and dozens of people were suspected, including members of the royal family and prime ministers.
But in a book published Tuesday, Naming Jack the Ripper , business writer-man Russell Edwards says there is no room for doubt: the killer was Aaron Kosminski, a Jewish immigrant from Poland came who worked as a barber, and already considered one of the main suspects.
The writer is based on DNA analysis
Russel Edwards bases his thesis on DNA samples taken from a shawl the scene of the fourth victim of the killer, Catherine Eddowes, murdered 30 September 1888 The clothing was recovered at the time by a police officer who wanted to give his wife, the latter finally refusing to wear it. The shawl is then left unchanged, in a box, before joining the museum of crime Scotland Yard.
The descendants of Aaron Kosminski put to
Russell Edwards had bought at an auction in 2007 DNA tests conducted on the garment and compared with samples from descendants of Aaron Kosminski, permit, according to the author of assert that it was the scene of the crime. The author told the Daily Mail have contacted the owner to ensure that he was the descendant of one of the police officers present at the scene of crime.
Catherine Eddowes, 46, was murdered the same night as the third victim of the killer. Orphan, this woman who prostituted herself occasionally, was the mother of three children. His body was found gutted at 1:45, his throat slit, his face mutilated.
Aaron Kosminski was born in Klodawa in central Poland in 1865 his family settled in East London in the 1880s and lived close to where the crimes were committed , near the docks of the city.
Just published, the thesis of Russell Edwards, however, already been criticized. The book provides “no evidence” thus stated Professor Sir Alec Jeffreys, inventor in 1985 of the technique of DNA analysis that establishes specific to each individual’s genetic profile. As for Russell, he remains sure of himself declaring Daily Mail : “I am overwhelmed by the fact that after 126 years, I solved the mystery.”
